Festival Hair and Beauty Tips!!
Festival season is on the way and we need to get prepared! For the weekend that’s in it, your beauty routine will be messed up….let’s just be honest! However there are ways to do it right and avoid forgetting something at the last minute. This list of must have items along with our beauty tips is essential for your festival look!
Your must have items:
Suntan Lotion
A top must-have; do not forget to apply your lotion evenly to avoid burning, especially if you are fair-skinned. Whatever the weather (even if it rains), you will be spending your whole time outside so you need to use this to avoid being sore or start peeling like an orange. Sunburn is a no no! It’s not sexy, plus it makes you age faster. We have a selection of different SCP (Sun Care Protection) products in our store to help. The Ambre Solaire Clear Sun Spray is ideal and will be your best friend for all the coming festivals this summer!
BB Cream
After the suntan lotion, a cream that revitalises, protects and perfects your skin is essential. Clarins BB Cream will also stop your skin from being damaged by the sun. If you are fair-skinned you should go for a SPF 30 for extra care.
Baby Wipes & Face Wipes
It might be difficult or impossible for you to shower so to stay clean use these magic wipes which will keep you nice & fresh for the entire time. Also, do not forget to remove your makeup throughout the weekend. Wipes aren’t the best, but for festival season they’ll do the trick, as a last resort! If that is not enough, you can use some bottled water and use it to wash your face. It is better than not doing anything.
Hand Sanitiser
This will help keep your hands clean. These are very handy as you can use them anywhere, and as you well know toilets at festivals are not shiny as a pin!
Deodorant.
This item seems obvious but the long lasting type is ideal so you don’t ruin your festival look by smelling to high heaven! The Vichy 48h Anti perspirant for both women and men combines the long lasting deodorant efficacy that is comfortable on the skin. Plus it does not have any alcohol which is great when you are exposed to sun. This will avoid these awful stains on your skin, which is not a pretty sight!
A mirror
This item is as clear as day. Have you ever tried putting your makeup on with no mirror?! You can’t just wave a magic wand and it will be picture perfect. So grab that pocket mirror you have lying around and put it in your rucksack.
Eyelashes
Either go for fake eyelashes or extensions, and book your appointment a few days beforehand. If you really don’t feel like doing that (as it is expensive & some people don’t like them) you should pick a waterproof mascara, because let’s face it, you are bound to have a little drizzle now and then in Ireland! The Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara will give you that double volumising & lengthening effect combined with its intense colour. This magic waterproof wand will last up to 12-hours. You won’t have to miss out and take a raincheck after buying this hot item.
Juicy Lips
Go for bright colours like pink or orange. I recommend the Lancome Juicy Shaker Lip Gloss as these are sexy and we have a wide range of shades that suits all tastes! Your gloss might get smudged during the festival but can easily be rubbed off. Also on the bright side you will look pretty as a picture with these juicy lips. They are very handy and do not take up any space in your tiny bag. Just take your mirror out and freshen up your lips with this glossy treat.
Dry shampoo
This item could come in handy if your hair gets too greasy. It will add extra goodness to your hair after spending several days out with no shower. You just have to pop it onto your hair and voila! Dry shampoo will save you on a bad festival-hair day.
Style up your hair
Wash your hair the night before with loads of goodness. Obviously taking showers is not always an option at festivals so grab that dry shampoo, as drastic times call for drastic measures. My favourite festival hair-do is the flower braid. Also, braids help keep your hair cleaner and will distract peeps from noticing your greasy hair. You can also add coloured clips as well as wear a hat! That will also protect your head from the sun.
Face paint and Glitter
Festivals are a fun time where you love being a little crazy. Why not try out Glitter and face paint, and go wild with colours and flowers.
You are now ready for Festival Season in Ireland!
