Dunfanaghy was the setting for the hundreds of very brave competitors starting the first ever Coastal Cancer Challenge that consisted of 3-4 hours (depending on their fitness) of running, kayaking, cycling, & up-hill trekking along the scenic West Donegal terrain. The weeks of hard-core training leading up to the big event was reflected in the success of the competition on Saturday with excellent times achieved, including our own Stewart Magee at 4hrs27mins & Deckie Watters at 4hrs40mins (not sure what kept him 🙂 Well done boys, you must have topped up well on the Berocca Boost!!  All credit must go to the competitors firstly & of course the organising team & sponsors for raising a lot of money and bringing more awareness to the dreaded disease that unfortunately has affected so many of us in some way.
Fair play to so many members in our community who took part in this challenge, hope you all got a well deserved rest on Sunday!
