Father's Day is near! At Magees we have decided to draw up a list of all things Dad: What Dads mean to us, and Father's Day gift ideas, all from a woman's perspective. A sort of All-in-one!

First things first: Why are Dads so special?

• He is always there to give advice, whether it's for your career choice or other life decisions. You can count on him! (It is up to you to take the advice or not)
• You will always be his little girl. Best avoid talking about boys all-together.
• If boys do come up in the conversation, he will be sure to demonstrate his acute karate/boxing/shooting skills when necessary. He might hurt his lower back in the process.
• Dad jokes:

• He will always demand dessert after dinner, even though your mom has already slaved in the kitchen for 2 hours. Usually something chocolate.
• He will take you out shopping (if you beg), get tired of it after 15 minutes and just buy you everything. Trying things on is a waste of time.
• If he has no sons, he will do everything in his power to turn you into a boy. You know how to fix a generator, and a power drill is second nature.
• He will make a point of telling you if your outfit is inappropriate for going out. He has great fashion advice, right?
• He doesn't understand why ripped jeans are more expensive than regular jeans, because there is less fabric.
• "Don't tell your mom"  (do we need to say more?)

And he is so much more, and so different to each of us.

Why wouldn't he deserve a nice Father's Day gift?
