The days are longer and the evenings are brighter, which means we’re really getting into the Spring spirit here in Magees ahead of midterm!
How about a photo competition to inspire us to capture the stunning scenes we come across on our walks, drives and climbs?! You will be in with a chance to WIN a canvas print, size of your choice – from our Photolab!
The theme is ‘Spring Begins’ – and entries will be judged based on creativity, fun and unique interpretations of Spring, the overall winner will be selected by local photographer and outdoors enthusiast, Joanne Gallinagh of Beaus and Belles Photography.
We’re spoiled for choice in Donegal, but please feel free to enter wherever you are! This competition is for everyone of any age, background and level of experience – from amateur to professional – however, photos will not be judged on professional quality or composition – rather, passion and an injection of creativity and fun.
To enter, send your image to us in Magees via Facebook or Instagram via private message, and/or share your entry tagging our page, and using the hashtag #mageesphotocomp (best to message us, too – as we won’t see entries from private profiles)

Photolab Canvas sizes are: 16” x 12” – 20” x 16” – & 30” x 20”
Please note, the quality of your original image will dictate whether we’re able to print it to your desired size, our photolab team will work with the winner to check this.

As we have one judge, we would ask that you only share one photo per person entering.
